How to make these flowers last longer🌸
Does anyone have any advice on how to make them last longer?
I bought them yesterday afternoon. I put the flower food I got with it in the water, sugar, and ice. I have it sat on top of our freezer to keep it cool.
Is there anything else I can do to keep th from dying?
Maintaining the longevity of cut flowers requires a combination of proper care and specific environmental conditions. Firstly, ensure that the stems are trimmed at an angle before placing them in water. This allows for better water absorption. Changing the water every couple of days and adding fresh flower food can significantly help in extending their lifespan. Additionally, it’s crucial to keep flowers away from direct sunlight, heaters, or drafts that could cause stress and accelerate wilting. Placing the vase in a cool spot, like on top of the freezer as you mentioned, is a good practice. Certain flower types, like roses and daisies, benefit from specific care, so exploring the best practices for each type can yield even better results. Lastly, consider removing any leaves that will sit below the water line to prevent bacteria buildup, which can lead to premature decay. Investing in a clean vase and refreshing the water regularly can work wonders in keeping those beautiful blooms looking their best for as long as possible.
