Day 4 Erbium definitely feeling the uglys but I have to get through it and let my face heal correctly. Today I’m super flaky very dry no more aquafore keeping my face super clean washing my face several times a day. #erbiumresurfacing #erbiumlaser
Having gone through Erbium laser resurfacing myself, I understand how challenging the healing process can be, especially around day 4 when dryness and flakiness peak. At this stage, your skin barrier is compromised, so it’s crucial to avoid heavy occlusive products like Aquaphor that might trap bacteria and cause breakouts. Instead, I found washing my face gently several times a day with a mild, non-foaming cleanser helped remove flaky skin and kept my face feeling fresh. I also ensured I avoided picking or scratching at the peeling areas to prevent scarring or pigmentation issues. Hydration was key; drinking plenty of water and applying a light, fragrance-free moisturizer after cleansing kept my skin from becoming painfully dry. I also protected my sensitive skin from sun exposure by wearing a broad-spectrum SPF and a wide-brimmed hat when going outdoors. The healing journey after Erbium laser resurfacing requires patience and consistent skincare routines. Staying clean, hydrated, and protected promotes optimal healing and helps reveal smoother, fresher skin underneath. Remember, the "ugly phase" is temporary, and the results are worth the effort. For anyone on day 4 of their Erbium resurfacing, keep at it—you’re on the right path to beautiful recovery!
