* i highly recommend getting a one day public transport pass (or more if you are visiting longer)

The monuments and sights are a little too far to walk if you are not used to it and you may enjoy the ride and sights more if you are not straining

• Google translate allows you to download languages so you can use the translator without service or wifi, you can also use the camera option to read and order from menus (a lot of people and servers spoke english but it’s better to be safe and prepared and try our best not to be rude)

• The best view of the city is from the Arc De Triomphe, although it is a busy place and you would need to schedule tickets(for the top) before hand

• Jusy because you DO buy or schedule tickets before hand DOES NOT mean you won’t wait in lines. Many places will still have lines to join for each time slot, so get there early if possible to be it the first of the group to enter

• The Louvre is HUGE, know what you want to see and prep in your mind and get a map! Also, The Mona Lisa is one of the bossiest rooms so brave yourself if you want to fight to see her

• WEAR GOOD SHOES!!! Lots of walking is involved in just the normal sightseeing, you don’t want to be miserable (I also recommend having a bandaid or two for emergency blisters)

• We were visiting in late April and needed layers to adjust to weather throughout the day, as a thought maybe check if you will need that option

• Most cafes and shops will take card as payment but the street art, book, and souvenir shops do need Euro in most cases

• It is a hustling city so do know where you are going before venturing out! And watch out for the flow of people/traffic
