Today’s adventure on #MomLife : The Great Poonami
Let me paint you a picture.
I was out on a regular Saturday jam packed with enrichments for the girls and with my baby boy when suddenly… disaster struck.
A poonami of legendary proportions. 💩💥
We’re talking through-the-onesie, through-the-socks, even-the-shoes-didn’t-make-it level of chaos.
I rushed straight to the baby changing room like a soldier on a mission.
But when I got there — the door was locked.
OK, fine. Probably another parent.
I knocked gently because, you know, we’re all in this together.
No response.
Knocked again.
And then…
The door opened and THREE teenagers walked out… holding cups of instant noodles.
I honestly froze.
They looked at me, I looked at them, my baby looked like a melted chocolate bar — and all they said was,
“Sorry…”
before scurrying off.
I wasn’t angry, just… disturbed? Speechless?
I did ask them why they were doing that, because seriously — a baby changing room?
For those who don’t know, these rooms often have hot/warm water dispensers, sinks, and clean counters.
So yes, some people do go in to make noodles or drinks.
But when a parent is dealing with a REAL emergency (poonami-level emergencies are no joke 😭), it can be incredibly stressful.
I’m just sharing this to raise a little awareness:
👉 Baby changing rooms are meant for parents who genuinely need them.
👉 Please be mindful — a few minutes can really make a difference when everything is leaking everywhere.
👉 Instant noodles taste the same outside, I promise. 🍜😂
Anyway… cleaned my boy up, survived the poonami, and lived to tell the tale.
Hope this helps remind people to be a little more conscious and considerate. 💛
And the funniest part?
My boy watched me throw all the soiled tissues into the bin…
and decided to throw his shoes in too.
As if saying, “Yes mother, these have seen enough.” 😂🗑️
Kids really learn FAST.
