Lost my job😭

So recently, I have lost my job due to the skills that I don’t have and also the mistake that I made. It’s really been hard for me to find a job and trying to stay with one. Makes you feel kinda useless or unwanted and I try my best and I worked really really hard to the point where I got sick and still worked. But also at the job I felt left out. None of the coworkers wanted to talk to me nor my manager wanted to include me. I was to myself! All I wanted to do was try to get my family into a better housing and an experience a better life than where we are now. But also make sure you always keep your head up because your family has always gotten in your back. And just take it day by day. I know god is with me and he has done so much for me. This is just another door that needed to be closed for another one to open. (God is within her, she will not fail. Psalm 46:5) #working thru the pain #leavingoffice #tiredwoman #helpmegod

... Read moreReading your story really hit home, and I want you to know you're absolutely not alone in feeling this way. Losing a job, especially when you've poured your heart and soul into it, can feel like a punch to the gut. That feeling of being 'useless' or 'unwanted' is so common, even for those of us who show up every day in our uniforms, ready to tackle whatever comes our way, often juggling work life with family motivation, like seeing ourselves in that mirror selfie holding a baby. It's a huge shift in identity, and it’s okay to grieve that loss. One of the first things I learned when I faced a similar situation was to allow myself to feel all those emotions – the sadness, the anger, the confusion. Don't bottle them up. Talk to someone you trust, whether it's a family member, a friend, or even a professional. Sometimes just hearing yourself say it out loud can be incredibly cathartic. Your family having your back, as you mentioned, is a massive strength, so lean on them. Beyond the emotional recovery, there are some practical steps that really helped me regain a sense of control. First, I focused on my finances. Understanding my current situation and creating a temporary budget eased a lot of anxiety. Then, I updated my resume and LinkedIn profile. Even if you're not ready to jump back into the job hunt immediately, having these ready can give you a boost of confidence. Think about the skills you do have, even if your previous role didn't fully utilize them, or if, like you said, perhaps there were some skills you felt were missing. This is a perfect time to explore online courses or certifications to fill those gaps. Another thing that made a big difference was maintaining a routine. When your work schedule disappears, it’s easy to let days blend together. I found that getting up at a consistent time, exercising, and dedicating specific hours to job searching or skill-building helped me stay grounded. It’s hard when you felt left out at work, but now is a chance to build your own supportive community, whether online or locally. Lastly, and this resonates with your faith, remember that this isn't the end, but a redirection. It might be hard to see it now, especially when you've been so dedicated, like those moments captured in an office setting, holding papers and a pen, but new opportunities will emerge. As you said, 'God is within her, she will not fail.' Keep that mantra close. Take it day by day, celebrate the small victories, and trust that you are moving towards something better. This experience, though painful, can truly be a stepping stone to a path that aligns even more with your aspirations for your family and a better life.

I’m so sorry that you lost your job but take some comfort in knowing it happens to so many of us, especially when we are young. I was let go from 2 different jobs in my early and mid-20s but I found a company I love working for and have been there 16 years now. I went from entry level to senior management. Please don’t let this discourage you too much. You will find something that’s a much better fit for you! You are not useless and worth so much!! ❤️❤️ Good luck to you and your family 🥰🥰
