make my morning coffee with me☕️
Something about an iced latte in the morning—it’s a necessity to start to day (even if I drink decaf).
Here’s a glimpse of how I make my regular coffee each morning.
✨weigh out 18g of whole coffee beans
✨add beans to the hopper
✨grind into the bottomless portafilter w/ double shot basket, I use a dosing funnel on the top to prevent mess
✨use a WDT tool to mix the grounds around & remove clumps
✨use a spring-loaded tamper
✨place the puck screen on top
✨extract a double shot of espresso
✨pour the shot over my oat milk/creamer & ice
✨enjoy

Making your morning coffee can be a delightful ritual that sets a positive tone for the day. Let's explore some popular coffee-making methods and tips to enhance your coffee experience. Many coffee enthusiasts prefer using high-quality, freshly roasted beans to ensure maximum flavor extraction. You can experiment with varying grind sizes according to your brewing method — a coarser grind for French press and a fine grind for espresso. Additionally, temperature plays a crucial role in brewing. Aim for water heated between 195°F to 205°F for optimal extraction. The brewing time will also vary based on your chosen method; for instance, espresso takes about 25-30 seconds while a drip coffee might take around 5 minutes. The addition of flavored syrups or spices, like cinnamon or nutmeg, can elevate your coffee if you’re feeling adventurous. Don't forget to consider the milk or cream you use! Heavily frothed milk can create a luxurious texture, perfect for lattes or cappuccinos. Lastly, always keep your equipment clean to maintain the best tasting coffee every morning. Explore different brewing methods, whether it’s a classic drip coffee maker, a French press, or an espresso machine like Breville, to find what suits your taste best.
