Postpartum Body Oder

smell like onions yet?? let’s be honest about PP BO…. it’s the WORST! 😭 i’ve dealt with it for the LONGEST time because i did not want to spend 15 bucks on a deodorant 😐 although it’s so worth it and i wish i would’ve bought it sooner. i’ve had issues literally since 5 months PP up until this month! i’ve been trying many different deodorants in hopes to find a cheaper alternative that did the job.

Postpartum body oder occurs after giving birth due to hormones getting thrown everywhere. (yes it’s completely normal! even though it’s so uncomfortable.)

✨some ways to manage through the body oder✨

• continue good hygiene

• stay hydrated to help flush out toxins

• avoid certain foods or drinks that increase oder (sugars, carbs, alcohol, and even coffee.)

• heavy scents, try to stick to fragrance free lotions, detergent, deodorants!

🤍 side note - my husband absolutely LOVES his deodorant! he said he will continue to buy this one! he loves how easy it is to apply, he has no issues with it pulling out his armpit hairs (lol), and he loves how long lasting the scent is! majority of the time he felt like he had to reapply with other brands.

... Read morePostpartum body odor is a common experience for many new mothers due to hormonal fluctuations following childbirth. This condition can cause discomfort and can persist long after giving birth. One effective way to manage postpartum odor is through maintaining proper hygiene practices. Regular bathing and the use of fragrance-free body washes can help keep you feeling fresh. Additionally, staying hydrated is essential; drinking plenty of water helps flush toxins from your body, potentially reducing the odor. Another important step you can take is to avoid certain foods known to increase body odor, such as sugary snacks, processed carbohydrates, alcohol, and caffeinated beverages. These can exacerbate the issue for some women. It's also advisable to use deodorants specifically designed for sensitive skin, as traditional products may contain harsh chemicals that can irritate the skin. A product like Lumē deodorant has been highlighted by many users for its effectiveness in controlling odor without irritating sensitive areas. Furthermore, many women find relief by opting for scent-free creams and lotions to minimize the chances of skin irritation. Finally, remember to be patient with your body as it adjusts post-pregnancy, and don’t hesitate to reach out to healthcare providers for personalized advice tailored to your needs.

I heard recently that apparently besides our hormones being out of wack and regulating- the postpartum body odor is also so the baby can smell you and “find you” 😂 crazy! I’ll be adding this to my pp stock a month from now! Thank you 🙏🥰
