easy DIY toddler activity!

Here’s an easy toddler activity that doesn’t require you to break the bank!

THINGS YOU’LL NEED:

• a box

• anything that will cut through the box

• any marker

• any kind of tape

• balls

(if you don’t have these balls, you can grab a smaller box and make smaller holes to fit in some little pompoms!)

This took about 5 minutes to make and kept my toddler busy for at least 30 minutes! she was entertained with going back and forth from one side, to another! highly suggest putting the balls at one end of the room, and the box at the other end! ✨

... Read moreCreating engaging activities for toddlers is a fantastic way to foster their development while keeping them entertained. This DIY project, which uses simple materials like a box and balls, is not only cost-effective but also encourages physical activity and hand-eye coordination. To set this up, you simply need a cardboard box, something sharp to cut holes (always supervise when using sharp tools), markers for decoration, tape, and balls or even pom-poms if you’re looking for a smaller alternative. After crafting the box, placing it across the room allows toddlers to engage in fetching and dropping balls through the holes, enhancing their gross motor skills as they practice running, bending, and aim. The best part? This activity can be set up in just five minutes and can occupy your child for about 30 minutes or more, depending on their interest level. Parents can also encourage creativity by allowing the toddler to decorate the box with colors or stickers, making the project even more personal and special. As always, supervision is key, especially with younger toddlers who may need help managing the balls or any sharp tools. These types of activities not only spark joy but also promote essential developmental skills, making them a win-win for both parents and children.
