The typical day may involve organizing playdates and managing school schedules, which can feel overwhelming without proper planning and organization techniques. In addition to childcare, household management is another critical aspect of a SAHM's role. This includes maintaining a clean and safe environment, which requires juggling laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation. The responsibility of meal planning involves considering each family member's dietary requirements to provide balanced and nutritious meals that everyone enjoys. It’s a task that requires creativity and foresight, especially when accommodating children’s tastes. Emotional support is an often underappreciated, yet vital part of the job. Children and partners frequently rely on the SAHM for reassurance and guidance, particularly in navigating life's challenges. It’s essential for a SAHM to cultivate strong emotional intelligence to effectively manage family dynamics while also considering her self-care. Lastly, a SAHM plays an essential role in financial management, which involves budgeting and tracking household expenses. While this list is spot on and I agree with all of it, it makes me so sad bc what does the husband do? I know he brings in the paycheck. I may just be bitter but I’ve been thinking on this for weeks now. I love my husband and he does provide for us but I’m constantly wondering.. ok but what else?
