Everyday Denim: Target Try-On Haul
i couldn’t find this one online but there are a ton of similar ones!
Universal Thread Button Down | Size XL | Price: $35
i typically wear a small/ medium. and this XL button down isn’t completely oversized. but grabbing it a few sizes bigger may be the best move for this one!
the quality of this isn’t bad. but $35 may not be a great price for it either. i loved the cut at the bottom and the silver buttons! since rodeo season is around the corner, i think this would be a great piece to have!

When it comes to everyday denim, comfort and style are key, especially for events like rodeo season where you want to look great but stay practical. Based on my experience with the Universal Thread light wash button-down jacket from Target, I noticed that the sizing runs a bit snug compared to my usual small/medium. Choosing an XL offers a relaxed fit, but if you’re aiming for an oversized look, trying one or two sizes bigger could give that laid-back vibe without losing the structure. One thing I appreciated about this piece was the thoughtful design details like silver buttons and a flattering cut at the bottom hem, which add a bit of flair while keeping it versatile. The quality felt decent for the price, though $35 might be on the higher side for a button-down jacket from a mass retailer. Still, when searching for denim options that work both for casual daily wear and special outings like the Houston Rodeo, this jacket is a solid candidate. Not finding this exact jacket on Target’s app was a slight hiccup, but plenty of similar universal thread denim button-downs are available online, so you have options to explore. Styling tips: pair it with classic jeans or cut-off shorts and cowboy boots to nail that rodeo-ready look. Layering with a tee underneath also makes it a great transitional piece for varying weather. Overall, this Target denim jacket blends everyday wearability with a stylish edge suitable for the rodeo scene and beyond. If you value affordable yet distinctive denim pieces for your wardrobe, giving this jacket a try in a bigger size might just be worth it!
