Went to the skullpanda cage-uncage exhibition (early access), and it was amazing! It was a thought-provoking showcase that encouraged visitors to examine their sense of self.

There are 6 major themes in the exhibition — Emotion, Fortune, Rules, Exploration, Life, and Direction. Each showcases different concepts that form our everyday lives.

Visiting the SKULLPANDA Cage-Uncage Exhibition felt like stepping into a poetic visual narrative that challenges the way we perceive our realities. The artist, Xiong Miao, masterfully uses the metaphor of a 'room' to represent the constraints we impose on ourselves—socially and mentally. Each themed section, including Emotion, Fortune, and Direction, offered interactive experiences that invited me to search for keys, symbolizing choices that guide our paths in life. The exhibition is much more than just an art display; it feels like a spiritual journey through a maze of self-discovery. The visual experiment of breaking free from invisible shackles resonated with me on a personal level. It encouraged me to think about the walls we build around ourselves and how sometimes we hold the key to unlocking these barriers. For those interested in collecting, the event also features exclusive SKULLPANDA merchandise, perfect for fans of POP MART collectibles. The exhibits run from December 12, 2025, until February 22, 2026, at the Museum of Singapore, Stamford Gallery. I’d highly recommend allocating ample time to fully immerse yourself in this innovative exhibition that blends art, emotion, and philosophy into one captivating experience.
