Slow cooker peach cobbler

Don't do pretty food pics really. Used melted butter on bottom so flour would stick. Flour under makes easy to clean after.

Put sugar carefully on top of flour as if goes to bottom will caramelize. Put in most of Dole peaches and juice straight out of can. Dumped on some evaporated milk and half cup of water.

(Ate rest of peaches...yum.)

Then about third of Duncan Hines white cake mix dry and rest of my melted butter. Cooked on LOW for 1 hrs 45 minutes and let cool. Then refrigerated to eat some later. When took plate pic. Tasted like peach cobbler. Yeah. #peachcobblerrecipe #slowcooker

... Read moreMaking peach cobbler in a slow cooker is a wonderful way to enjoy a warm, comforting dessert without much fuss. One tip that really helped my recipe turn out perfectly was using melted butter at the bottom of the slow cooker. This acts as a base for the flour or cake mix to stick to and makes clean-up so much easier afterwards. When layering your ingredients, be gentle when adding the sugar on top of the flour or cake mix. Pouring it carefully prevents it from sinking to the bottom where it can overly caramelize and create a slightly burnt taste. Using canned Dole peaches with their juice adds both flavor and moisture, making the cobbler soft and juicy. I also added some evaporated milk and water to lighten the texture and help the cake mix soak in all the peach goodness. Cooking on low heat for around 1 hour and 45 minutes lets the flavors meld beautifully while preventing the dessert from drying out. After the cooking time is complete, letting it cool slightly and then refrigerating allows the cobbler to set, making it easier to serve later—perfect for enjoying the next day. This method is perfect if you don’t have fresh peaches or want a dessert that practically cooks itself. Plus, it’s quite forgiving if you don’t measure every ingredient precisely, making it great for beginners who want a homemade treat without too much effort. Serving warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream elevates the experience. From my experience, experimenting with other fruit options like apples or berries using this slow cooker cake mix method can also yield tasty results. It’s a versatile recipe that makes dessert time simple and delightful, especially when you want something sweet but don’t want to heat up the whole kitchen.
