A garlic girly asked me for this recipe 👀

Somebody asked me for the recipe and I’m so sorry. I posted the ingredients and forgot to post the recipe…

So here it is:

Ingredients:

• like 2 handfuls (maybe even 3) of garlic bullbs (trust me you want a bunch!)

• 1/3 a cup of white sesame seeds

• 1/2 a cup of a good quality olive oil (you might need more)

• 1 block of cream cheese

• 2 table spoons of red pepper flakes (or more if you love the taste like I do)

•1/2 a table spoon of parsley (fresh is best, but not obligatory)

•1 teaspoon of salt

• 1/2 teaspoon of fresh cracked black pepper

1. Preheat your oven to 375°. Grab your cream cheese out you want it to be soft so that when you add everything together,, it’s much easier to mix it in.

2. Place sesame seeds in the bottom of an oven safe dish.

3. Add your garlic to the dish and cover it all with the olive oil. Roast for about 20-30 minutes. Check it half way through. You want the garlic to be somewhat translucent, it needs to be soft enough to mash it all.

4. Once the garlic and sesame seeds have been toasted enough that they are soft blend them in a blender or with a hand blender. It needs to be a soft and smooth texture.

5. Add the cream cheese to the garlic mixture, and mix it either by hand or with the hand blender whatever is easier for you. I did by hand with a whisk.

6. Mix in your salt and pepper, then top with the parsley and red pepper flakes. (Personally I like to mix all of the seasonings and altogether so you get a little bit of parsley and red pepper flake with every little bite.

And then plate it up you can serve it with sourdough bread that’s what I used or crackers or really anything whatever you wanna serve it with. Enjoy! 🤍

... Read moreGarlic is widely known for its strong aroma and numerous health benefits, including its antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. Using roasted garlic in a cream cheese spread enhances its flavor by mellowing the pungency and creating a rich, creamy texture. Roasting garlic bulbs with olive oil until translucent not only softens the cloves but also brings out natural sweetness that balances the spread's savory elements. Incorporating white sesame seeds adds a subtle nutty flavor and slight crunch, providing depth and texture to this appetizer. Sesame seeds also contain important nutrients such as healthy fats, protein, and minerals like calcium and magnesium, making this recipe both delicious and somewhat nutritious. The addition of red pepper flakes introduces a gentle heat that can be adjusted according to personal preference, which makes this spread versatile for mild or spicy flavor lovers. Fresh parsley adds a burst of color and a hint of herbaceous freshness, complementing the roasted garlic and creamy cheese. For optimal results, be sure to use good-quality olive oil as it plays a key role in roasting and flavor infusion. The step-by-step roasting method ensures the garlic attains a buttery softness suitable for blending. This garlic cream cheese spread pairs exceptionally well with crusty sourdough bread, crackers, or vegetable sticks for a healthy snack option. It can also serve as a flavorful addition to sandwiches, wraps, or as a creamy topping for baked potatoes or grilled meats. For those interested in dietary adjustments, cream cheese can be substituted with vegan cream cheese for a plant-based alternative, and the red pepper flakes can be omitted for a milder version. Overall, this recipe offers a simple yet impressive appetizer or snack that combines the aromatic depth of garlic with creamy and crunchy textures—making it an ideal choice for entertaining or everyday indulgence.
