Switching it up
There’s a version of you
that doesn’t doubt,
doesn’t hesitate,
and doesn’t ask if she belongs.
Sometimes you just have to let her step forward.

My inner Boss:
“Alright… that’s enough playing small.
Let me handle this.” 😉

Stepping into your inner boss is something I’ve personally experienced as a transformative journey. For me, it started with small moments—choosing not to second guess my decisions in meetings or hesitating less when voicing my ideas. There was always that voice inside, that version of myself that was confident, assertive, and ready to lead without asking if I belonged. One helpful approach was visualizing my "inner boss" character, which sometimes felt like a smaller, quieter part of myself, but filled with strength and clarity. I’d imagine her stepping forward whenever I felt overwhelmed or hesitant. Over time, it became easier to let that part take charge in critical situations. This inner shift is not just about confidence but about mindset change—the realization that playing small no longer serves your growth. For women pursuing leadership, this mindset shift can break barriers created by self-doubt or external pressures. Additionally, cultivating #BossEnergy involves intentional practices like setting clear boundaries, affirming your worth daily, and seeking out mentors who encourage your leadership potential. These small but consistent actions reinforce the inner authority and help you maintain your empowered stance. Ultimately, embracing your inner boss is about permission—giving yourself the freedom to lead authentically and unapologetically. It’s about trusting that you belong at every table you aspire to be at and recognizing that your unique voice adds value. If you’re ready to switch it up, start by quietly acknowledging your inner boss and letting her handle the moments that used to make you doubt. The process is empowering, and the reward is a leadership presence built on genuine self-belief and resilience.
