Kiwi Interest
🍃
Everybody talks about the sweetness of the fruit…
but nobody talks enough about what protected it while it was growing.
Kiwis are interesting like that.
Soft inside.
Covered outside.
Built to survive before they’re ever opened.
That hit me deeply.
Because some of us learned how to become guarded long before we learned how to become safe.
People saw distance.
Silence.
Boundaries.
Self-protection.
But underneath all of that…
there was always softness waiting for the right environment to exist freely.
Healing taught me this:
protecting yourself does not make you cold.
Sometimes the shell is proof you survived what tried to harden you.
And when you finally feel safe enough to soften again…
that’s where the sweetness returns. 🥝✨
