Getting through tough timesâ¨
Hey yâall, or if you are new, hello! Iâm Juice đ. I am a big advocate for mental health. Dealing with depression and anxiety for over 10 years has been very hard for me, especially having no one to talk to. Growing up, I felt like no one understood me or what I was going through. My silent cries were deemed not serious, and since I was the goofy girl, no one took me seriously at all. I did feel like I mentally matured in a sense because I always had to be in survival mode mentally and physically.
When I was 20 years old, I officially started seeking professional help, and I had to go through a plethora of therapists. Yes, it was so annoying and draining to constantly start over and open up. I was diagnosed with PTSD, ADHD, depression, and anxiety at 22 years old. I currently do EMDR therapy, and yâall, that changed me!!! Iâm still healing, of course, but I am now seeing my value, strength, and power.
I say this to emphasize that mental health is real!!! Please take care of yourself and remember this is a journey. Youâre going to have days where you feel like youâre going insane, and you will have beautiful days, but please do what makes your heart feel peaceful. It's okay to cut off whoever; itâs okay to ignore the world. Sometimes you have to be selfish to help yourself.

Facing tough times, especially related to mental health, can often feel overwhelming. Itâs important to recognize that seeking help is a strength, not a weakness. Many people experience symptoms of mental disorders like PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, and depression, often without knowing where to turn for support. Types of therapy, such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), have proven beneficial for many experiencing trauma. Beyond professional help, forming supportive community connections is essential. Engaging in activities you enjoy and practicing mindfulness can significantly enhance your mental well-being. Prioritize self-care and understand that progress may come with ups and downs. Whether itâs through journaling, meditation, or simply taking time alone, these practices can foster peace and help navigate through life's challenges. Remember, it's okay to prioritize your mental health by establishing boundaries and saying no when necessary. Taking these steps can pave the way toward a brighter, healthier future.
