Raised pet bowl or no?

Cora Lee this morning eating her breakfast!

Usually I leave her alone while eating but I took a couple pictures today!

We use a raised dog dish for our two border collies because we think it helps them with posture and I know it helps with messes ! lol

Cooper used to always step on our dishes and spill the water and food everywhere!

Things are much better now with a raised dish (:

... Read moreWhen considering whether to use a raised pet bowl for your dog, it helps to understand the various benefits associated with it. Raised bowls are specially designed to meet the needs of different dog breeds, especially those with longer legs or specific posture needs. Not only do they make it easier for dogs to eat and drink without straining their necks, but they also help to reduce the mess often associated with feeding time. Studies have shown that elevated feeding stations can promote better digestion, as dogs maintain a more natural position while eating. Moreover, for dog owners dealing with spills, raised bowls can prevent water and food from being knocked over, saving time on clean-up. This is particularly beneficial for energetic breeds like Border Collies, known for their exuberant eating habits. In addition, raised bowls can deter certain health issues in larger breeds, such as bloat, which is a life-threatening condition. It is advisable to monitor your dog's eating behavior, as some may prefer raised bowls over traditional dishes. Using a raised bowl can also offer a stylish addition to your home decor, as they come in various attractive designs to match your lifestyle. In conclusion, the consideration of raised pet bowls presents numerous advantages worth exploring for the health and joy of pets.
