how to stop snacking after dinner

if you are struggling with eating excess snacks after eating meals… I’ve been there! And it was always because of 3 things primarily 👇🏼

1. I wasn’t eating ENOUGH nutrients in my full meals

2. I was being way too restrictive and “dieting”

3. I was not hungry, I was just bored/stressed

So how do we combat this?

1. We start eating enough. High protein, satiating meals. No more bird food.

2. We actually make and incorporate yummy treats that we enjoy. Have balance and make some “healthy” treats — then honor your cravings!

3. We start focusing on things other than food. It doesn’t need to rule your world, practice self care, spend time with God, journal and pour into yourself girl

I hope this helps you because it has changed the game for me 🤍🙌🏼✨

... Read moreLate-night snacking can be a common struggle, often stemming from insufficient nutrient intake during the day or emotional triggers like boredom or stress. To create a healthier relationship with food, aim to eat balanced meals rich in high protein, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates. Incorporate homemade, nutritious snacks that satisfy cravings without derailing your diet. Establishing a wind-down routine can help shift focus away from food. Engage in activities such as journaling, practicing self-care, or reflecting through prayer or meditation. This redirection can diminish the habit of snacking when not truly hungry. Remember, it's important to enjoy food as part of life; allow yourself occasional treats while staying mindful of your overall nutrition. By understanding your triggers and making intentional choices, you can combat late-night cravings successfully, leading to a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
