fitness propaganda I’m not falling for

ok ladies these are some common fitness myths/propaganda that I DISDAIN 👎🏼

let’s debunk em 👏🏼✨

• all whole, foods are good if balanced everyone’s body has different tolerances

• rest days are where muscle growth happens, less weightlifting for women can be better for hormones

• you only need to walk for fat loss. you don’t need to do intense cardio

• booty bands won’t grow your glutes but they will help to warm up and increase tension in your lifts

• combination training is always superior. Do weightlifting moderately and Pilates sprinkled in

• lean doesn’t mean healthy. You can have a healthy amount of body fat and be physically healthier than someone who is shredded

• heavier weight isn’t always the answer. progressive overload is needed but women do not need to train like men

• you supplement after you nail your nutrition, not the other way around!

let me know if you agree/disagree?? Any you want to add 🥰🫶🏼

... Read moreIn the realm of fitness, misinformation can lead to ineffective practices and unhealthy habits. One widespread myth is that intense cardio is the only way to achieve fat loss; however, adopting a balanced approach that includes moderate weightlifting is essential. While some believe that all whole foods are universally beneficial, it's crucial to recognize that individual tolerance levels vary significantly, impacting efficacy. Moreover, the idea of 'no days off' in working out can actually hinder recovery and muscle growth. Rest days are vital for your body to repair and strengthen muscles, particularly for women, where appropriate weightlifting can positively influence hormonal levels. Rather than adhering to a singular training methodology, exploring a combination of activities, like weightlifting paired with Pilates, offers versatility and effective results. Understanding that being lean does not equal being healthy is another critical point. Some may maintain a healthy body fat percentage while being physically fit, contrary to the belief that only shredded individuals are fit. Finally, reliance on supplements should follow, not precede, a solid nutritional foundation to truly impact your health positively. Always prioritize holistic wellness over quick fixes and myths that can mislead your fitness journey.
