... Read moreAs a self-proclaimed Snoopy super fan, I’m always looking for new ways to infuse a little Peanuts charm into my everyday life, and my iPhone is no exception! You saw a peek into my phone tour, but I wanted to dive deeper into how you can achieve that perfectly adorable, personalized look, especially when it comes to those coveted Snoopy app icons and widgets.
My journey to custom Snoopy app icons usually starts with a deep dive into Pinterest. Seriously, it's a treasure trove! I search for terms like "Snoopy aesthetic app icons," "vintage Snoopy iPhone theme," or even specific character combinations like "Snoopy and Woodstock icons." Once I find images I love, I save them to my camera roll. The magic happens next with Apple's Shortcuts app. It might seem a little daunting at first, but it’s surprisingly straightforward. You just create a new shortcut, choose "Open App," select the app you want to customize, and then tap the three dots to add it to your Home Screen. From there, you can choose one of your saved Snoopy images as the new icon. Voila! Instant cuteness for your favorite apps like Spotify, YouTube, or even your messages.
Beyond just the app icons, custom Snoopy widgets truly elevate the whole theme. I rely heavily on apps like Widgetable and Widgetsmith for this. For instance, you saw my large Snoopy widget that instantly brightens my home screen – that’s often a custom photo widget from Widgetsmith. I also love to create custom quote widgets, like the "you can do hard things" one, often pairing it with a sweet Snoopy image. Widgetable is fantastic for lock screen widgets, allowing me to add quick glances at the weather or another motivational Snoopy quote without even unlocking my phone. Imagine seeing a little Snoopy smiling back at you every time you check the time!
Organizing my apps is equally important for my peace of mind. While the aesthetic is fun, functionality is key. I keep all my go-to social media apps – like Lemon8, Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram – grouped together on one dedicated page. This helps me manage my screen time and keeps my main home screen clutter-free. My first page is intentionally reserved for games like Flow, Boba Story, Mahjong, and Monopoly, which I use as a quick distraction during anxious moments. Having them easily accessible helps me find a moment of calm when I need it most.
And let's not forget the lock screen! It's the first thing I see, so I make sure it sets a positive tone. Besides the widgets, choosing a calming background, like a photo of my dog, adds that personal touch. Finally, to complete the whole phone aesthetic, a cute phone case is a must. My smiley face case from Shein adds a pop of personality and ties the whole look together. It’s all about creating a cohesive, personalized space that makes you smile every time you pick up your phone. What are your favorite ways to customize your phone? I'd love to hear your ideas!
