How did you meet your partner?🤍

We met right before COVID hit in 2020! We are both from Boston,MA and actually met on tinder haha. We hit it off pretty well and our first date was in a drive thru at Kelly’s, if you’re from MA you know what that is haha. The lady at the window said “First date huh?” And we laughed as we couldn’t believe that it was that noticeable 😂. Fast forward a bit and Justin joined the military and 2 years later we decided to have a court house marriage! We now live in California and are living life and learning the world! We are 24&25 y/o so I’d say decently young! Either way, I wouldn’t have it any other way! 🫶🏼

... Read moreIt's funny, when people ask 'how did you meet your partner?', they often expect a grand, romantic movie scene. Mine started with a simple swipe right on Tinder back in 2020, right before the world turned upside down. If you're trying online dating, my biggest tip is to just be authentic. Don't overthink your profile or messages too much; just let your personality shine through. We instantly connected over our shared Boston roots, which felt like such a comforting, familiar starting point in the digital world. Our very first date was at a drive-thru, believe it or not! We grabbed food from Kelly's – if you're from Massachusetts, you know the spot. The lady at the window even joked, 'First date, huh?' We couldn't believe how obvious it was, but it totally broke the ice and made us laugh. It just goes to show you don't need a fancy restaurant to find a spark; sometimes, it's those unexpected, simple moments that truly stick with you and reveal an instant connection. Life then threw us a curveball when my partner joined the military. That brought its own set of challenges, transforming our budding relationship into a long-distance one. Communication became our absolute lifeline, and building trust from afar was paramount. It taught us so much about patience, commitment, and making every visit count. After two years, we decided to get married at the courthouse. It wasn't the big, traditional wedding with a full white dress and veil moment that some dream of, but it was incredibly intimate and focused purely on us and our commitment to each other. We did find a beautiful spot later for photos that felt like a perfect beach at sunset backdrop, celebrating our love in our own unique way, just like the image captures. Now, living in California in our mid-twenties, we're navigating life together, learning and growing every single day. It's a new adventure constantly, from exploring new places to simply building our home and future together. People often wonder about young love and marriage, but for us, it just works. We prioritize open communication, always support each other's dreams, and never forget to laugh – especially at how far we've come from that first drive-thru date. Our journey has taught me so much about love, resilience, and what it truly means to build a lasting partnership. Love isn't always a fairy tale; sometimes it's gritty, it's challenging, and it requires a lot of effort. But when you find that person who makes every hurdle worth it, who sees you completely – tattoos and all – and makes you feel safe and cherished, that's real. Our story might not be conventional, but it's authentically ours, and I wouldn't change a single chapter. It’s a beautiful testament to destiny, a little bit of luck, and a whole lot of love.
