have matcha with me as a nyc college student

If you’re in Koreatown, I highly recommend stopping at either Nana’s Green Tea or Seoul Sweets for a matcha latte and their desserts! I’m obsessed with Nana’s Green Tea’s matcha latte with ice cream. Don’t worry, I also have recommendations if you’re hanging out downtown. Remi43 in FIDI is currently serving an iced berry matcha as a seasonal drink, so this is a must try for the spring and summer! Salswee in Flatiron makes an amazing matcha croissant, but as for their matcha latte, I only recommend it if you don’t like your matcha sweet. Another matcha dessert comes from Spot Dessert. Their matcha lava cake is my go to order every single time!!

NYC's Koreatown, in particular, offers some incredible gems that are perfect for both your taste buds and your study breaks. Let's dive deeper into why Koreatown is a matcha paradise. While Nana's Green Tea is a fantastic starting point, especially for their matcha latte with ice cream – a true indulgence – don't miss out on the full spectrum of experiences available. Seoul Sweets, for instance, goes beyond just lattes. Their menu often features exquisite items like a delicate matcha einspanner, a rich matcha latte, a refreshing blueberry petite cake, and a perfectly crafted matcha roll cake. These aren't just drinks; they're culinary experiences that showcase the versatility of matcha, offering a wonderful atmosphere for catching up with friends or getting some light reading done. The blend of traditional flavors with modern dessert artistry makes these spots truly stand out. For us college students, matcha isn't just a trend; it's a lifestyle. It's a fantastic alternative to coffee, offering sustained energy and focus without the jitters or the post-caffeine crash. It’s a great way to explore different flavor profiles and find new favorites. And for those with a sweet tooth looking for something truly special, Spot Dessert's matcha lava cake served with matcha ice cream, or even a matcha latte float, are absolute must-tries – perfect for celebrating after a big exam or just treating yourself. Salswee in Flatiron also offers a fantastic matcha croissant, marrying the earthy notes of matcha with a flaky pastry, which is a delightful pairing with any matcha drink. Navigating NYC on a student budget means being smart about your indulgences. Many local cafes offer student discounts, or you might find loyalty programs that make your matcha habit more affordable. Exploring different neighborhoods for their unique matcha offerings not only satisfies your cravings but also offers a chance to discover new parts of the city. So next time you're craving a matcha fix, remember to explore these fantastic spots, try their unique offerings, and let the calming, focused energy of matcha fuel your college journey.
