i own 17 blushes as a college student pt 3/4
I use both cream and powder blush, so the Pūrlisse is my go to for cream blush (can also be used for lips). This is makeup and skincare combined—it has vitamin E & hyaluronic acid, which is used for hydration and locking in moisture. Having 17 blushes is a lot, but I do manage to use all of of them except 2. This includes the YSL blush because it has a pretty finish and is easy to use, but I’m not a fan of the texture or the fact that it comes out of a tube.
Okay, so you've seen my journey through 17 blushes, and trust me, it's a lot! But the quest for that perfect flush, especially when it comes to versatile nude and gorgeous berry shades, is real. As a college student, I'm always looking for makeup that's easy to use, lasts through my busy days, and makes me feel put-together without much effort. That's where finding your ideal "lovely nude" or a vibrant "nude berry blush" really comes into play. Let's talk about nude blushes first. It's easy to think "nude" means invisible, but it's actually about finding a shade that mimics your natural flush, just a bit better! For me, a "lovely nude" blush is one that brightens my complexion without looking overdone. If you have warmer undertones, a peachy-nude can be incredibly flattering. For cooler tones, a soft rose nude often looks more natural. Deeper skin tones can rock richer, warm brown nudes or even a terracotta-nude for a stunning, sun-kissed effect. The key is to swatch and see how it blends into your skin. My Pūrlisse cream blush, for instance, comes in some beautiful nude shades that are incredibly easy to work with. I love how creamy and lightweight it feels, making it super buildable. You can go from a sheer wash of color to a more noticeable pop, all while maintaining a natural finish. Plus, the fact that you can just blend with fingers when you're rushing to class is a total game-changer. Then there are the berry blushes! Oh, how I adore a good berry. They might seem intimidating at first, but a "nude berry blush" isn't about being overtly bold; it's about adding a fresh, healthy flush that looks like you've just come in from a brisk walk. These shades are fantastic for adding a bit more life to your face, especially when you're feeling tired from late-night studying. A true berry can range from a subtle dusty rose with a hint of purple to a deeper, more vibrant raspberry. I find them incredibly versatile because they often complement a wide range of skin tones, bringing out a natural radiance. For a subtle look, I dab just a tiny amount onto the apples of my cheeks and blend it out. If I want a bit more drama for a night out (or just a study session where I want to feel extra cute!), I build up the color a bit more. The Pūrlisse's berry shade is another favorite because of its forgiving formula, allowing for that easy transition. Beyond just the color, the formula itself makes a huge difference. As mentioned before, finding blushes with good-for-your-skin ingredients is a bonus. My Pūrlisse blush, packed with Vitamin E and hyaluronic acid, really stands out. It's like a little skincare boost with my makeup! These ingredients help keep my skin hydrated and prevent that dry, cakey look that some blushes can cause, especially if you have drier skin or live in a colder climate. The thought of my blush actually locking in moisture while giving me a pretty glow? Yes, please! Ultimately, whether you're searching for your perfect "lovely nude" or a playful "nude berry blush," don't be afraid to experiment. The beauty of cream blushes, especially ones that are creamy, lightweight, and buildable, is that they're very forgiving. You can start small, blend with fingers for a seamless application, and build up intensity as needed. It's all about finding those shades that make you feel confident and complement your natural beauty, without adding extra stress to your college budget or morning routine. Happy blushing!
