“you’re wearing too much blush”

If you’re wearing “too much” blush, you’re doing it right. Blush usually fades, so you want to add it a lot for it to last. Plus, it’s just fun and my favorite step in my makeup routine. I own about 20 blushes, including Pūrlisse Cheek + Lip in Pink Crush & Nude Sugar, Canmake Glow Fleur Blush in 09 Burgundy Fleur, and Fwee Glowy Jelly Pot in Couverture—these are lightweight & natural blushes, perfect for springtime! You’re probably wondering why someone needs that many, but trust, I use them all.

... Read moreIn my experience, blush is often underestimated in everyday makeup, but it truly transforms your look. One tip I've learned is to embrace layering your blush, especially lightweight cream or jelly formulations like Pūrlisse Cheek + Lip in Pink Crush or Canmake Glow Fleur Blush. These types blend seamlessly with your skin, offering a natural finish without feeling heavy. Because blush tends to fade throughout the day, applying a generous amount initially and building up gradually helps maintain that healthy flush longer. I like to start with a cream or gel blush for a dewy base, then top it off with a light powder blush to set the color. The Fwee Glowy Jelly Pot in Couverture, for example, adds a moisturizing, glowy touch that's perfect for spring. Another advantage of having a variety of blush colors is matching your look to different moods or occasions without being repetitive. I find that deeper shades like Burgundy Fleur from Canmake add a sophisticated pop, while the softer Nudes and Pinks are great for a fresh daytime vibe. Plus, experimenting with blush placements – on cheeks, temples, or even across the nose – can enhance your facial features and add a youthful radiance. For those new to blush, don't shy away from "too much" at first. It's about finding the right products that work with your skin type and tone, and learning how to blend them well. The key is to layer lightly and build intensity gradually rather than applying all at once. Using hydrating, vitamin-enriched formulas helps your skin look healthy and vibrant. Overall, blush is a joyful part of my beauty routine that lifts and brightens my complexion every day. If you embrace the "more is more" philosophy with the right products and techniques, you'll see your blush last longer and look naturally beautiful throughout your day.
