Ruthless Creatures was what I read for my traveling book club for this month. Mafia read. Not my favorite genre, but it was still pretty good. Currently reading His and Hers by Alice Feeney. This book has me so confused yet I can’t stop reading it. Feeney's storytelling hooks you in and doesn't let go, highlighting why she is a New York Times bestselling author. Looking ahead, I'm excited about continuing "Rites of the Starling," which promises an immersive fantasy experience, diverging wonderfully from the crime and thriller genres. I find that switching between genres like mafia romance, thrillers, and fantasy not only broadens my reading horizons but also keeps my book club discussions engaging with varied perspectives. For others venturing into these genres, I recommend joining themed read-alongs or book clubs to share insights and enhance the experience. Mafia romance blends emotional complexity with suspense, thrillers like Feeney's push psychological boundaries, and fantasy offers a creative escape. Together, they form a compelling blend for any reader willing to explore beyond their comfort zone.

Book Review Book name: Finders Keepers Author: Stephen King Genre: Psychological Thriller My rating: 4/5. Not as good as the first in the series, Mr. Mercedes, but a good second book to link the first and last in the trilogy. Taking a break of the scary stuff to read a little bit of fluff.
