18-year-old picture book writer left "true strength"

This is a picture book writer who traveled to the sky at the age of 18,
These are the words that Fuka-chan left behind.
Fuka-chan thinks about herself
I was writing "nothing."
Still, what I got is
"Let's make it Hanbunko"
I said it.
In the story, to the child who thinks he is not worth it,
"Penchan is not trash."
I told him.
Not being hurt is not strength.
With a wounded heart,
Trying to care for someone.
That's what Fuka-chan taught me
I think it was "true strength."
The words that Fuka-chan left behind,
Time to make a book together,
The last wish I entrusted to the sunflower,
I wrote it in my essay on the note.
This work, someday
On the road to leaving Fuka's heart as a book

ふうかちゃんが残した言葉や絵本から感じたことは、私自身の心にも深く響くものがありました。彼女の言葉には、自分に価値がな いと思い込んでしまう子どもたちへの優しいメッセージが込められています。例えば「ぺんちゃんはゴミなんかじゃないよ」という言葉は、自己否定や孤独感に悩む誰かの心を慰めてくれるように感じます。 私は以前、仕事や人間関係で傷ついた経験がありますが、その時にふうかちゃんのように「傷ついたままでも誰かを想う強さ」を学びたいと思いました。完璧であることや傷つかないことを強さと誤解していた自分に気づき、弱さを抱えたまま誰かを思う優しさこそ本物の強さなのだと心が救われました。 また、ふうかちゃんの「はんぶんこにしよう」という言葉も印象的です。自分には「なんもない」と言いながらも、手にしたものを分け合うその姿は人間らしい温かさを感じさせます。こうしたシンプルな優しさが絵本の中に優しく息づいていることが、彼女の作品の魅力です。 さらに彼女が最後に託した「ひまわり」への願いは、季節ごとに変わる自然の中で生きる力や希望を象徴しているように思います。私も毎年夏になるとひまわりの花を見て元気をもらうようになりました。 この物語は、ふうかちゃんの心が一冊の本となって多くの人々に届くことを願いながら、彼女の言葉を借りて生き方や心に残る言葉の大切さを改めて考えるきっかけにもなります。皆さんもぜひ彼女の言葉から感じ取った「本当の強さ」を日々の生活の中で大切にしてみてください。
