Snagged this rare vintage piece today

STILL reeling from this big purchase

Almost 10 years ago, I bought my first serious watch…an MOP Lady Datejust with diamond markers that has been honestly? Timeless. It’s been my daily piece since 2016, and has seen everything with me. From leaving behind my full time job, to having my first taste of running a business. First few big deals. Late-night closings. Growth seasons. Hard seasons. It wasn’t just a watch, it was a milestone. My first ever.

For the longest time, I told myself if I were to get another piece, it would be the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Lady. I love the silhouette, the presence, the statement. And I wanted it in a very specific style. But iykyk haha sourcing one is not easy. Always no stock, long waits, uncertain timelines...

Then one day on IG… I saw her.

A vintage Cartier Panthère. Not something I’d ever considered before, but

Blue MOP dial.

Diamond bezel.

Diamond crown.

18k white gold.

It was super rare and hard to say no to.

The blue mother-of-pearl shifts subtly under light – sometimes icy, sometimes a little pink sheen. The diamonds aren’t loud, they just catch the light quietly. It felt elegant but powerful. Feminine, but not girly. Tbh kinda me.

What made me pull the trigger wasn’t just how pretty it is.

It’s what it represents.

Almost a decade between major watch purchases. In between that time was growth, building resilience, and learning my worth.

Sometimes we wait for someone else to validate that we’ve “earned” something.

But today felt like: I know what I’ve built. I know what it took.

So I pulled the trigger.

Not because I needed another watch.

Not because it’s trendy.

Not because anyone told me to.

But because I wanted something rare, timeless, and quietly powerful.

And honestly? I’m glad I bought it.

If you’re reading this and you’ve been waiting for a sign to celebrate your own growth, this is it. Reward yourself for the milestones nobody saw.

We don’t only celebrate results.

We celebrate becoming.

Wearing a vintage Cartier Panthère like this isn’t merely about luxury; it’s a celebration of personal milestones and growth over time. What makes vintage pieces especially captivating is their uniqueness and rarity, qualities that modern watches often lack due to mass production. A big part of my recent appreciation for this Cartier Panthère was its rare combination of an 18k white gold case, a blue mother-of-pearl dial that subtly shifts colors in different light, and a diamond bezel and crown that lend an understated elegance. This watch achieves a perfect balance—powerful and feminine without being flashy, which makes it a versatile accessory for both day and night. Sourcing vintage watches like this can feel like a treasure hunt. Unlike new models that are often delayed or sold out, vintage finds are one-of-a-kind opportunities that come with character and history. When buying vintage, it’s essential to trust sellers with verified authenticity to ensure the piece is genuine and well-maintained. Personally, waiting nearly a decade between significant watch purchases reflected my own life journey—from career changes to business ventures and personal growth. Watches like these become more than accessories; they become reminders of endurance and success earned over time, not just instant gratification. For anyone considering a luxury watch purchase, especially vintage, I’d advise reflecting on what the piece symbolizes to you. It doesn’t have to be about the brand or current trends—it’s about celebrating your story. A vintage Cartier Panthère with its timeless design and rare features could be the perfect companion for those moments when you want to honor your becoming. Expanding your watch collection with meaningful pieces can inspire confidence and joy, reminding you daily of the progress and milestones only you truly understand.

Girls, this spot is dangerous for your wallet 😭
I think I just found my new shopping obsession. 📍 With Love just opened a 3-storey store at Neil Road, and honestly, you could get lost in here for hours (in a good way). What I love is that it’s not your usual mall mix - it’s filled with independent brands from Singapore, Sydney, Ho Chi Minh
