Sequim is also known for the famous Dungeness crab, caught locally, as well as its beautiful nature and herds of local bison.

If you really want to get in the lavender spirit, visit on the weekend of July 19th - Sequim’s annual Lavender Festival. Here you will find live music, food, and hundreds of vendors selling homemade lavender specialties. You can also tour the countless lavender farms, pick your own lavender, see demonstrations, and take home your own lavender treasure.
Other things to do while you are in Sequim:
-Olympic Game Farm: a drive through wildlife exhibit where animals come right up to your car. (We’re talking bison, bears, lions, tigers, zebras, llamas, yaks, elk, and more!)
-head to Dungeness to eat some fresh Dungeness crab and other local seafood
-download the Lavender Experience map and rent bikes to go for a beautiful bike ride (or drive) through all of the area lavender fields.
-take a day trip to Seattle
-take a day trip to Olympic National Park to do some amazing hiking among the moss covered trees
