Thoughts from The Shawshank Redemption

Many people may have seen it in the past, may not have seen it, or have seen it before, and would like to tell you in the idea of this movie why it is a favorite movie of many people.

The story of former Mr. Banks - Andy Dufrens, whose life seems to have gone smoothly, was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his wife and adulterous man, when he insisted that he was innocent but all the evidence directed him, and then met and befriended Reid (Morgan Freeman) who became the guide to each other's lives in Shawshank Prison in Maine during 1947.

The first thing we get from this movie is the power of hope. It's not self-deception, it's the fuel that gives us the strength to live, but many times in our lives we'll be struck by environments or places, squeezing our hopes so small that they hardly leave. But Andy told Reid, "This is a place like this. Hope is a good thing and the best thing." He not only told Reid, but he also told us all not to let the only light that has in this dark place disappear.

Andy spent years writing letters for libraries for people to learn before going out into the outside world, and spent decades digging tunnels to create an escape.

And what are the reasons why we're willing to buy a lottery every time? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, if it's not the hope of winning, but don't forget that hope is also dangerous, it can drive people crazy.

Second, the trap of familiarity, one of Reid's subtitles about prisons, is, "Prison walls are fun, because at first you hate it, and then you get used to it. After enough time, your life will depend on it."

The "Brooks" character echoes the image of someone who has been trapped in captivity for 50 years, it makes him so attached to the people in prison that it makes him "afraid of the outside world." Once freed, he can't return to his life because he's already become a part of there.

In real life, we may be going to jail at work, in relationships, or in our safe areas, and it makes us so used that we don't dare to do anything and forget that we have the potential to do many things.

Finally, Andy's friendship, meeting Red, it was a great friendship, they helped, gave valuable advice all the time they were together, and they became each other's best friends, and they shared their dreams and hopes. When Red became helpless, they thought they'd be stuck here forever, or even when Red was freed, Andy helped Red regain hope and gave him a dream.

In our lives there must be someone who helps us even in the helpless or the discouraged. He must be the one who makes us rise from that darkness.

This movie is full of symbols and the power of our struggle to survive for our freedom, whether it's the use of stone hammers to dig walls, the opening of prison music, so it makes it a favorite movie for many people.
