Ninjas doing ninjas 🥷
Always a great time getting creative with my friend Enzo 💪🏾
You know how much I love hanging out and getting creative with my friend Enzo? Well, one of our absolute go-to games for instant laughs and a bit of friendly competition is what we call the 'Ninja Circle Game'! It's so simple yet incredibly fun, perfect for when you want to get active and have a giggle with friends. So, what exactly is the Ninja Circle Game? Imagine a group of people standing in a circle, and the goal is to be the last ninja standing. Everyone starts in a 'ninja pose' – usually a static, dramatic stance, ready to strike. The game moves quickly, with players taking turns to make one swift movement to 'attack' another player's hand, trying to get them out. It’s all about speed, strategy, and really quick reflexes! Here’s how we usually play it, step-by-step: Form a Circle: Everyone stands in a circle, arms outstretched so their fingertips are almost touching the person next to them. Ninja Pose: On the count of three, everyone strikes a unique, frozen 'ninja pose.' This is your starting position, and you can't move until it's your turn. Taking Turns: One person starts (we usually do rock-paper-scissors to decide). That person makes one fluid, continuous movement to try and slap the back of another player's hand. It has to be a single, flowing motion – no stop-and-go. Defending: The person being attacked can only move their hands to avoid the slap. They can't move their feet or body. If their hand is slapped, that hand is out. If both hands are slapped, they're out of the game. Passing the Turn: After the attack (whether it hits or misses), the turn passes to the person on the attacker's left. Last Ninja Standing: The game continues until only one player remains with at least one hand in the game. That person is the ultimate Ninja Master! Enzo and I have developed some fun strategies over time. For attacking, it's all about misdirection. Sometimes I'll fake a move towards one hand, only to quickly pivot to the other. For defending, focus is key. You have to anticipate where the attack is coming from and react instantly. It’s surprisingly good for sharpening your reflexes and observation skills! What I love most about the Ninja Circle Game is how quickly it can turn into pure chaos and laughter. It’s a fantastic icebreaker for new groups or just a silly way to spend an afternoon with old friends. Plus, you can easily add variations – like playing with your eyes closed (for the brave!), or adding a rule where if you scream “Ninja!” during your attack, it adds an extra challenge for the defender. Trust me, it never gets old. So next time you're looking for a simple, active, and absolutely hilarious game to play with your friends, give the Ninja Circle Game a try! You might just discover your inner ninja, like Enzo and I do every time.
