#onthisday oh my GOD it’s been 2yrs since my baby took his first steps😭
Watching my baby take those first steps was one of the most emotional and rewarding experiences as a parent. I remember how we were practicing standing and walking carefully during that time, making sure to encourage every little move he made. The date, June 14, 2022, will always hold a special place in my heart because it marked the beginning of his journey towards independence. In those early days of practicing walking, patience and support were key. Babies often need to build their strength and confidence in stages—starting from standing with support, experimenting with balance, and eventually attempting to take a step on their own. I found that using furniture or holding his hands helped boost his confidence a lot. Every attempt, whether successful or not, was celebrated with claps and cheers to motivate him further. It’s also important to create a safe space for babies to explore walking without fear of injury. Removing sharp objects and having soft mats made practice safer and more enjoyable for both of us. Looking back, I am amazed at how those first tentative steps have turned into running and exploring, which shows how important those early milestones are for physical and emotional development. If you’re a parent or caregiver going through this phase, my advice is to cherish every moment, no matter how small it seems. The process of learning to walk is not just about physical growth but also about building trust, communication, and confidence between you and your baby. Remember to document these milestones because they pass by so quickly and are precious memories worth holding onto.
