New Menu item…Was it worth it??
I finally tried the new Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato, and l have to say... it was good, just not for me!
First of all, it's such a pretty drink. The purple ube cold foam on top makes it look like spring in a cup. 🍠🌸
When I tried it, the ube flavor was definitely there, but it wasn't overpowering at all. It had a really nice, mild sweetness with a slightly nutty, vanilla like vibe.
Would I order it again? No, once was enough.
It's good and fun to try, but probably more of a seasonal treat for me rather than a regular order.

Trying new coffee drinks can be a fun adventure, especially when they introduce unique flavors like ube and coconut. My first encounter with the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato reminded me how the combination of ube's subtle nutty sweetness and creamy coconut can create a refreshing beverage that's both visually appealing and flavorful. One thing I really appreciated about this drink was the balance of flavors—it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet or artificial, which can sometimes happen with flavored drinks. The purple ube cold foam topping adds a delightful texture and makes it stand out on any Instagram feed, truly embodying the essence of a spring-inspired drink. From my experience, this macchiato is perfect for anyone curious to try something new beyond the classic coffee flavors, especially if you enjoy mildly sweet, nutty notes with a hint of vanilla. However, it may not be a daily go-to for those who prefer traditional coffee or stronger espresso flavors. I also found that the coconut milk base adds a smooth creaminess, which pairs well with the ube foam but might be a bit light for those who enjoy richer coffee drinks. Considering this, I’d recommend it as a seasonal or occasional treat, ideal for warmer days when you want a cool, refreshing alternative to hot coffee. If you’re a fan of novelty drinks and willing to experiment, the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato is worth a single try. Just be prepared that it might not replace your regular order, but it definitely adds an exciting twist to the Starbucks lineup during springtime. Overall, it’s a visually stunning and enjoyable drink, especially if you enjoy unique flavor profiles, but it’s best approached as a fun experience rather than a daily indulgence.

I had this, it was pretty good! I actually tasted more of the Ube.
