Future Filmmaker
💫Making my dreams come true 💫
I do the 48 hour film project and it was so much fun! I have a degree in media arts and I’m so happy to have discovered my love for film while obtaining this degree. I got to produce this film and I’m excited to do more of this in the future 🥰!
The 48 Hour Film Project is a thrilling competition that challenges filmmakers to produce a short film within just 48 hours. Developed to encourage teamwork and creativity, participants are given a set of rules and a few required elements, which results in a variety of unique and original films. Many aspiring filmmakers, like myself, often participate to hone their skills, gain experience, and network with other creative professionals. While taking on roles such as cinematographer, director, or producer, participants learn to collaborate and solve problems under pressure. This experience is invaluable for anyone looking to break into the film industry. Additionally, working in a real-world scenario allows you to apply what you have learned academically in your media arts degree. Being part of a 48 Hour Film Project team can also lead to incredible friendships and professional connections. Filmmaking is a collaborative art, and the relationships you forge with fellow creatives can last long after the project ends. Whether you're a student, a budding filmmaker, or someone exploring their passion for film, participating in such projects can be a stepping stone towards fulfilling your dreams in the film industry.
