Cleaning Plant Leaves: Oddly Satisfying

I used to skip this step because I didn’t know it matters. But dirty leaves can actually block sunlight, which plants really need, especially the sunlight in the house is already a lot less than outdoor. Now, I clean it once every two weeks and it makes a difference.🌿

Here’s how I do it:

1️⃣ I clean the leaves front and back with clean water first. Spray clean water and use a cloth to wipe down all the dust.

2️⃣ I lightly spray some neem oil and gently wipe the leaves with a cloth. Neem oil is organic and plant-safe. It’s pet-friendly, human-friendly, and perfect for indoor use. It helps prevent disease, keeps pests away, and even adds a healthy shine to the leaves. I normally finish the process after neem oil. If I want extra shine on the leaves, I will add one more step.

3️⃣ Once in a while or when I’m hosting a family party, I’ll wipe the leaves with Miracle-Gro Leaf Shine spray. I only use it on waxy-leaf plants (like the fiddle leaf fig in the picture) for that extra glow. ✨
