The Trick that Makes My Space Smell Clean
My parents-in-law in law say my home smell fresh and clean every time they come this year. I don’t do anything fancy but I have changed my little habits that make a big difference:
🪟 I open window daily. I normally open in the morning before the heat kicks in and I open the window after I cook for 10 minutes.
🪔 I layer scents. Sweet orange in the morning, lemon+eucalyptus or tea tree+pepper mint in the afternoon, then switch lavender in the evening. I want to discover more combos🤗.
🧺 I wash couch covers, throw pillows and blankets frequently.
🧹 I use baking soda with fresh scent to vacuum the carpet.
🐾 I spray dog bed with linen spray between washing.
🧼 I clean trash drawer and trash can in the kitchen more often. I also clean the disposer weekly (Learned the hard way😬😅).
This habits really help my home smell fresh and clean. And it’s actually clean not just covered by scents.

Maintaining a fresh-smelling home goes beyond surface cleaning. By incorporating a few daily habits into your routine, you can create an inviting and pleasant environment. 1. **Ventilation**: Opening windows daily allows stale air to escape and fresh air to circulate. Try to do this in the morning or after cooking to eliminate unwanted odors. 2. **Layering Scents**: Use essential oils or scented candles to create a fragrant ambiance. A mix of sweet orange, lemon, and eucalyptus can uplift your space. 3. **Regular Cleaning**: Frequently wash items like couch covers and blankets to eliminate dust and bacteria. This ensures your textiles contribute to the fresh smell of your home. 4. **Baking Soda**: Vacuum carpets with baking soda to neutralize odors. This inexpensive trick can make a significant impact on how your home smells. 5. **Freshen Fabrics**: Spraying your dog's bed with a fabric freshener can keep it smelling clean between washes. 6. **Trash Maintenance**: Cleaning out trash bins regularly and ensuring proper disposal can cut down on unpleasant smells. Consider using cleaning agents specifically designed to neutralize odors.
