♻️ Things I Stopped Throwing Away at Home
I always feel guilty for throwing away some of the stuff that actually can be reused or feel guilty if I forget to bring groceries bags with me and just one time I’ll have so many plastic bags in hand 🫠
• Veggie + fruit containers → I use them to organize drawers in the fridge.
• Those thin plastic produce bags → I save them to collect food scraps or kitchen sink waste.
• Plastic shopping bags → They’re the perfect size for restroom trash bins. I haven’t bought small trash bags in forever.
• Candle jars + leftover wax → I scoop out the wax and use it in a warmer, and the cute jars for flowers, cotton balls, or makeup brushes.
• Gift bags → I keep them. Perfect for little treats for friends or family.
Just finding small ways to waste less. When my husband asked me why I need to do this and I always say I need to save the planet 😆

In today's world, reducing waste is more important than ever, and many items we often discard can be repurposed to help save the environment. For instance, vegetable and fruit containers are perfect for organizing your fridge drawers, ensuring you make the most of your produce. Thin plastic produce bags can be used to collect food scraps from the kitchen, promoting composting and minimizing trash. Plastic shopping bags have a secondary life as restroom trash liners, reducing the need for purchasing small garbage bags. Candle jars, once cleaned out, can be transformed into beautiful holders for flowers or your beauty tools. Even leftover wax can be utilized in a warmer, ensuring nothing goes to waste. Gift bags are another item that deserves a second chance; they’re reusable, especially for giving little treats to loved ones. By adopting these practices, you contribute significantly to reducing waste in your daily life. What items have you decided to stop throwing away?
