Furniture I’d Tell My 20s Self to Buy
I had moved from place to place for 5-6 times in my 20s. There are 3 things I’d recommend to look for when buying furniture in your 20s.
1️⃣ Modular, easy to disassemble&assemble
2️⃣ Neutral design that can fit wherever you move
3️⃣ Multi-use and have storage
Furniture that I think can move with me, grow with me, and still works in every space:
✅ A sturdy bed frame that is easy to disassemble
✅ Storage ottoman

Moving frequently in your 20s can be challenging, but selecting the right furniture can greatly simplify your life. Here are a few key points to consider when choosing pieces: 1. **Modular Designs**: Look for furniture that is easy to assemble and disassemble, such as a sturdy bed frame. This will not only facilitate moving but also adapt to various living spaces. 2. **Neutral Colors**: Opt for items in neutral tones like beige, gray, or white. This will allow your furniture to fit seamlessly into different décor styles and make it easier to mix and match as you change your surroundings. 3. **Multi-Use Items**: Invest in furniture that serves multiple purposes. For instance, a storage ottoman can function as both a seat and a footrest, providing valuable storage space for blankets or books. 4. **Expandable Tables**: A multi-use table that accommodates 2-4 people but can expand for larger gatherings is ideal for socializing. Choose one that can transition from a dining table to a work desk or crafting station. 5. **Comfortable Seating**: A neutral color, comfortable couch or pull-out sofa bed is essential for entertaining friends during movie nights or sleepovers. A well-chosen sofa can last years and serve various purposes, including use in a future guest room. 6. **Dresser Essentials**: Regardless of where you live, a dresser is a must-have for keeping clothing organized and tidy. Select one that complements your other furniture for a cohesive look. By prioritizing modular, neutral, and multi-functional furniture, you can create a stylish and flexible living space that evolves with you throughout your 20s.

I have a sleigh bed as a hand me down from my Oma who passed. I love it so much, but damn is it hard to move! I plan on moving out of my parents’ house next year and taking it with me, and I’m scared it’ll break or be too hard to move :(
