My Best & Worst Home Purchases of 2025( Real Talk)

I love a good home upgrade, especially electronics that can help my life easier, but not everything I bought in 2025 was actually worth it 😅

Some solved real problems (hello robot vacuum), while others looked great, but not as good as they look.

What I learned this year:

1. “Aesthetic” doesn’t always mean functional.

2. Weight and stability matter more than I thought.

3. Good items are the one I use daily and effortlessly.

I hope I can do more research and think more before buying things in 2026.

Its upgraded edge mopping feature not only saved time but made daily cleaning effortless, which is why it quickly became my go-to for maintaining a tidy home. In contrast, some items like the Levoit humidifier, while seemingly useful, ended up disappointing due to the need for costly distilled water and potential health concerns, which was a valuable cautionary lesson. One surprising takeaway was the significance of weight and stability in everyday items. Aesthetic pieces such as certain paper towel holders looked nice but failed practically because their lightweight bases caused inconvenience during use. This drove home the importance of choosing sturdy, reliable items over merely stylish ones. In addition, I found smaller, affordable purchases like the wooden toilet paper holder from HomeGoods and a plug-in wax warmer from Target added a lot of charm and convenience to my spaces. These items combine utility with pleasing design and can make a big difference in a cozy home aesthetic. Going forward, my plan for 2026 is to research more thoroughly before buying. That means prioritizing ease of use, durability, and real-life problem solving over looks alone. The best home products are those I use effortlessly every day and that truly improve my lifestyle.
