I accidentally made McDonald’s cookies 😳
My Accidental McDonald’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Copy Cat Recipe
Set oven to 350
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups flour(spoon into measuring cup do not scoop)
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp corn starch
1/4 tsp baking powder(too much can give a cakey texture so I used just enough to give it a nice rise before pulling them out of the oven to finish cooking on the baking sheet.
A PINCH of cinnamon…seriously only a pinch!
2 sticks of soften European butter(I use Kerrygold Only)
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg + egg yolk
2 TBS vanilla extra(I like to use extra a nice amount to enhance the flavor)
9 oz of Ghirardelli semi-sweet cookies(approximately 3/4 of the bag)
Mix flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and a PINCH of cinnamon together and set aside.
Mix soften butter, brown sugar and white sugar together. Add in 1 egg + 1 egg yolk. Add in vanilla extract.
Slowly mix in the dry ingredients. I mix 1/3 of the dry ingredients in at a time and until all has been mixed in. Add in chocolate chips.
Use an ice scream scoop to put cookie dough onto the cookie sheet. Top dough with 3 to 4 extra chocolate chips before putting into the oven. Bake for 13-15 minutes in the oven or until golden brown.
Allow to cool and finish cooking on baking sheet.
These cookies can be cooked immediately,
chilled up to 4hrs, or chilled over night. The longer they chill the better they taste!

If you're craving the iconic taste of McDonald’s chocolate chip cookies, then you're in for a treat. This recipe combines classic ingredients with a unique twist, resulting in chewy, chocolatey goodness. Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F and preparing your baking sheet. The key to achieving the perfect cookie texture lies in the balance of ingredients. Use 2 1/4 cups of flour, ensuring you spoon it into the measuring cup rather than scooping, as the latter can lead to too much flour. Don’t forget the 1 tsp of baking soda and just a 1/4 tsp of salt for flavor enhancement. A precise mix of baking powder and a pinch of cinnamon adds a subtle flavor profile that elevates your cookies to next-level deliciousness. When it comes to the butter, softening is paramount; opt for high-quality European butter, such as Kerrygold, for richness. The combination of 1/2 cup white sugar and 1 cup brown sugar gives your cookies that deep, caramel-like sweetness we all crave. Incorporate 1 egg plus an egg yolk for a denser cookie and enhance the taste with 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract. Once your wet ingredients are mixed, slowly blend in the dry mix, adding semi-sweet chocolate chips that will melt beautifully while baking. This recipe calls for about 9 oz of Ghirardelli chocolate chips, ensuring every cookie is packed with decadent chocolate. Scoop the cookie dough onto your baking sheet, topping each mound with a few extra chocolate chips before placing them in the oven. Bake for around 13 to 15 minutes until golden brown, and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet to retain their chewy texture. You can even chill the dough for up to 4 hours or overnight to deepen the flavors! These cookies are sure to become a household favorite, bringing the taste of McDonald's right to your kitchen.
