Dinner on repeat 😋

Salmon bowls are my favorite quick and easy dinner to make because of how many ways you can eat this, it never gets old! Here’s how I like my bowl

ingredients

🥣Salmon:

🥣 Rice(I used jasmine rice)

🥣 cucumber

🥣 avocado

🥣 dressing of choice( I used Chick-fil-A avocado, lime ranch dressing, and I added a little extra lime to the dressing)

🥣 chives and Montreal steak seasoning for topping

First cut my salmon into cubes and seasoning them to my liking and sautéed them in a cast-iron pan

While that was cooking, I put some jasmine rice into a rice cooker and just like that, I’m almost done

After cutting up my cucumber, avocado and chives, I assembled my plate

Now let’s enjoy ! 😊

Building a bowl like this is actually one of my favorite ways to practice intuitive eating – it’s all about creating a meal that truly satisfies your hunger and cravings while nourishing your body. When I make my own salmon bowl, I love listening to what my body feels like eating that day, whether it's a lighter lunch or a heartier dinner. One of the best things about these easy dinner recipes is how much you can personalize them. While the original recipe features delicious cubed salmon, jasmine rice, sliced cucumber, and avocado, I often find myself craving extra veggies to amp up the nutrients and texture. If you're looking to try something new, adding some zucchini is fantastic! You can get creative with it: Roasted Zucchini: Cut zucchini into half-moon slices or cubes, toss with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper, then roast at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized. This adds a lovely smoky depth. Sautéed Zucchini: Briefly sauté thin slices or ribbons of zucchini in a pan with a touch of garlic until just tender-crisp. It keeps a fresh bite. Raw Zucchini Ribbons: Use a vegetable peeler to create thin ribbons of raw zucchini. They add a fresh, crunchy element without any cooking required. These additions make your salmon rice zucchini bowl even more vibrant and fulfilling. Beyond zucchini, don't be afraid to experiment with other ingredients like bell peppers, edamame, shredded carrots, or even a handful of fresh spinach wilted into the rice. It’s all about what makes you feel good! And let's talk dressing! While store-bought options are convenient, sometimes I like to whip up a quick homemade one to have more control over the flavors and seasonings. A simple mix of soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, a squeeze of lime, and a touch of honey or maple syrup makes a fantastic sesame-ginger dressing. Or, if you like a little kick, a creamy sriracha mayo is super easy – just combine mayo (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option) with sriracha and a dash of lime juice. These homemade dressings can really elevate your salmon bowl and align with the intuitive eating principle of gentle nutrition, where you make food choices that honor your health while still enjoying them. Remember, there's no single 'right' way to make a salmon bowl. It's your canvas! Whether you're sticking to the basics or exploring new combinations with cubed salmon, jasmine rice, and all your favorite veggies like cucumber, avocado, and now maybe even zucchini, the goal is to create a meal that tastes amazing and leaves you feeling energized and satisfied. Enjoy the process of crafting your perfect bowl!

I’m going to have to try this! I love making a salmon bowl with jasmine rice, broccoli, slow sodium soy sauce and a little bit of honey.
