meet my dog, bingo 🐾
isn't she perfect?
we got her from the humane society in august, they had no clue what breed she was
we think she's a lab / husky / shepherd / something else mix
it was love at first sight, and i'm so glad she's mine
(definitely let me know if you think you can tell what kind of dog she is — i'll get a DNA test eventually, but those are pricey)

It's true, ever since I brought my sweet Bingo home from the humane society, the biggest question everyone asks (and honestly, I ask myself too!) is, 'What breed is she?' She's truly a mystery, a wonderful blend of... well, something amazing! Like many rescue parents, I've spent countless hours trying to decipher her lineage, especially since I came across phrases like 'que raza de perro es Bingo' (what breed of dog is Bingo) and 'Bingo dog breed' online, realizing others are just as curious about their own furry friends. We initially guessed Lab, Husky, and Shepherd, and seeing her quirks, I can definitely spot glimpses of all three. For instance, her absolute joy in the snow, like the image says, makes me think 'THE BIGGEST FAN OF SNOW' is definitely a Husky trait. And her gentle, loving nature, always ready for 'ALWAYS READY FOR SNUGGLES,' could easily be her Labrador side shining through. Then there's her goofy, sometimes dramatic side – honestly, she 'IS PART MUPPET' sometimes, making us laugh with her expressions! Trying to guess a mixed breed's heritage can be a fun game, but it's also quite challenging. Beyond looking at physical traits like her coat, eye color, and build, observing her personality and behaviors gives some clues. Is she high-energy or a couch potato? How does she interact with strangers or other animals? Is she vocal like a husky, or more reserved? Bingo, for example, is definitely 'SOLAR POWERED,' always finding the sunniest spot for a nap, which doesn't narrow it down much, but it's adorable! And yes, she 'CAN BE JUST A LITTLE BIT JUDGEMENTAL' with her side-eye, a trait we find endlessly amusing. Ultimately, the only way to truly know a mixed breed's exact lineage is through a dog DNA test. I know the original post mentioned they can be pricey, but they've become much more accessible lately. These tests can reveal not only the specific breeds in your dog's background but also potential health predispositions and even personality insights. It’s fascinating to think about uncovering the full story behind my 'half-amazing, half-terrific' mutt, as one of her pictures aptly puts it. Whether Bingo turns out to be a complex blend of many breeds or just a few, one thing is for sure: she is 'THE WORLD'S GREATEST DOG.' Her breed doesn't define the immense love and joy she brings into our lives every single day. Adopting her was the best decision, and she truly embodies the spirit of #adoptdontshop. For anyone else out there with a beautiful, mysterious mutt, enjoy the journey of discovery, embrace their unique personality, and know that breed is just a label for a love that's unconditional.
