i hit one of the biggest reading slumps (i'll post about that later this week) and have slowly crawled out of it 💪🏼

this week, i grabbed these four books (and some movies) from my local library
1. I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I'm Trapped in a Rom- Com 🛸
Okay, so I've never read any of Kimberly Lemmings books, but they ALWAYS sound hilarious. This book has so many reviews calling it laugh out loud funny, and that's what I need right now. It's also on the shorter side, so that's great for me!
2. Just Our Luck 🍩
Fake dating, aimless and broke FMC, donut shop owning MMC, lottery winning, this book has it ALL! I'm gonna need some cheesy goodness to offset the Fifth Season and the Zombie Apocalypse book.
3. Can You Survive the Zombie Apocalypse? 🧟🧟♀️🧟♂️
Y'ALL — THEY MAKE ADULT CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE BOOKS. I am so excited.
4. The Fifth Season by NK Jemisin 🪨
I've heard so many good things about this sci-fi fantasy series! It's a daunting series to start, but I'm so excited
Movies:
1. Zombieland 🧟
This movie looks so fun, I can't believe I've never seen it! I've checked it out before but never find the time to watch it
2. The Phoenician Scheme 🛤️
I've gotten SO MANY advertisements for this movie, and I love the Wes Anderson movies I've seen (I haven't seen all of them, yet, but I like his humor)
3. Venom 🕷️
I've never seen any of the Venom movies! My husband has seen the first one, and he thinks I'd enjoy the franchise. I love a good violent movie when I get close to the week before my period, can you tell what time of the month it is by these selections??
4. Cyrano🌹
Saw this in theaters with my husband for his birthday. We both loved it and haven't seen it since, he's been wanting to rewatch it!
