#onthisday we stay missin you ❤️🩹 #suicideawareness #missyou
Losing someone to suicide is an experience that leaves an indelible mark on your heart and mind. I remember the day my brother passed away vividly—it felt like the world shifted in a way I couldn't understand. A week after what would have been his birthday, I chose to get a tattoo that holds deep meaning for me: his initials, his favorite song lyric “Lean on me, when you’re not strong,” along with his birthday and the day he passed. This tattoo serves not only as a tribute to his memory but also as a daily reminder of the importance of suicide awareness and mental health support. It's crucial to talk openly about suicide and reach out for help—because no one should feel they have to face their struggles alone. Every small gesture of remembrance, like sharing stories or symbols, can create a powerful impact, fostering connection and hope. If you or someone you know is struggling, please remember that support is available. From hotlines to counseling, reaching out could be the first step towards healing. I share this personal story to raise awareness and encourage those who feel isolated to lean on others. Together, we can break the stigma and honor those we've lost by supporting each other through difficult times.
