... Read moreNavigating food safety can be tricky, especially with countless online reviews that may not always be reliable. From my own experience living in Singapore, what really gives me confidence is the Singapore Food Agency's (SFA) SAFE Framework. It works like a fitness tracker for food establishments, continuously monitoring their safety practices over time. When I dine out or order food, I always look for the SAFE grade, which ranges from A to C. A grade means the place has maintained excellent food safety for over three years, while B shows consistent performance between one to three years, and C warns of a major lapse within the last year. New businesses start with a 'NEW' grade and must work hard to earn a stable score. One useful tip—many establishments display a QR code on their SFA licence that you can scan to instantly verify their grade online. This transparency helps me choose eateries with confidence, especially in hawker centres or food courts categorized as Category 2, where food preparation levels vary. For places with heavier food prep like caterers and central kitchens (Category 1), additional scrutiny includes mandatory food safety management systems and appointment of Advanced Food Hygiene Officers. This layered approach shows Singapore’s commitment to safeguarding public health. Overall, the SAFE Framework empowers consumers like me to support food businesses that prioritize hygiene and safety. It transforms an abstract concern into actionable insights, making dining a safer and more enjoyable experience.

No Big Wedding Banquet & We Loved It! 💗
We didn’t have a big wedding banquet — and we absolutely loved it! 🤍 ❤️ Why we chose to skip the big fanfare - We are both in our late 30s and the thought of planning a wedding banquet felt more like a chore than something enjoyable. As introverts, the idea of dressing up and being in front o

After paying visits to over 15 thrift stores in the last two weeks, here's my take on the thrifting scene in SG :) 1. Price Range 💵 Most of the items are reasonably priced ($20-$30), but of course there were outliers such as $130 for a pair of jeans and $50 for a chipped designer bag. If yo
