Weekly Reading Log Week 1✨

The way I was tooo excited to start using my Hoboinichi Weeks. Technically I already started but it feels good to finally start using the weekly pages as well. My weeks will be my reading journal for 2026. The main things I want to track are my daily devotions, Books I start because I’m a serial mood reader and forget when I start books, and how many pages I’m actually reading in a given day. I want to highlight favorite quotes and verses and which I’ve DNF’d along the way as well. These might change as I play around a determine whether the information is useful to me or not. Happy Journaling friends!

... Read moreUsing a Hobonichi Weeks planner as a weekly reading journal is a brilliant way to stay organized and motivated throughout the year. By dedicating your weekly pages to track key reading habits—such as daily devotions, new books started, daily page counts, and noting any books you’ve decided to DNF (Did Not Finish)—you create a comprehensive overview of your reading life at a glance. Many readers struggle to remember when they started certain books, especially if their mood influences their choices. Logging this information in your planner helps prevent confusion and lets you pinpoint exactly when and why you paused or abandoned a book. Additionally, highlighting favorite quotes and meaningful verses not only deepens your engagement with the texts but also creates a personal collection of inspiration to revisit. The visual aspect of Hobonichi Weeks allows space for creative journaling, making it enjoyable to experiment with layouts and discover which tracking methods provide the best insights. For example, coloring or highlighting the number of pages read each day can reveal patterns in your reading habits over time, encouraging productivity or identifying slow periods. Integrating daily devotions alongside your reading log opens the door to reflecting on spiritual growth as it relates to the books you encounter. This layered tracking approach turns your Hobonichi into more than just a planner—it's a holistic tool for personal development. If you’re just starting out or thinking of adapting your system, consider including monthly summaries where you can compile favorite verses, key takeaways, and reflections on how your reading choices align with your goals. This practice adds richness and purpose to your journaling experience. Happy journaling and may your 2026 reading journey be fulfilling and inspiring!
