1. Getting outdoors more

- I’ve always had trouble trying to get out of bed let alone getting outside. Im trying to put myself out there more and be able to appreciate nature and the environment.

2. Having a healthy relationship with food.

- My whole life i have had a love hate relationship with food. Ever since i was little iv’e had a binge eating disorder and atleast twice a day i eat to the point it hurts. Ive tried talking to my mom about it but she puts it off by saying “our whole family is bigger you just need to get over it”. I always feel so alone when it comes to food but i decided its time to change that and help myself.

3.surrounding myself with people i love

- This is something im getting better at. I used to surround myself with “friends” who would always treat me badly or veiw me as lesser than them,so i ended up growing apart from everyone to the point i would be alone for weeks other then the bare minimum contact with my family. My friends now truly care for me and want me to strive and that’s what is going to help me do so.

4. Being myself around family.

- this is mostly talking about non immediate family. I have trouble being myself or even knowing what “myself” is around them. It’s to the point i can’t eat around them, i get anxious speaking to the them or even being around them.

5.loving the body i have.

-this is really really hard for me. There are days where i wake up and i can’t even be around a mirror. I want to love myself as much as i love and care for others, i just don’t know how.

... Read moreIn today’s fast-paced world, self-improvement has become a crucial aspect of personal well-being. One essential area is connecting with nature; many studies show that spending time outdoors can significantly improve mental health and reduce stress levels. Moreover, addressing our relationship with food is equally important. Learning about nutrition and practicing mindful eating can help combat issues like binge eating disorder and promote a healthier lifestyle. Surrounding ourselves with supportive people fosters a positive environment and enhances our self-esteem, leading us to act authentically. Additionally, understanding our identity, especially around family, can be challenging, but it’s paramount for personal growth. Finally, cultivating body positivity is a journey that many face, as societal standards often skew our self-image. By embracing self-love and accepting our bodies, we can enhance our overall well-being and happiness. Engaging in activities that promote these aspects, like joining community groups or seeking professional advice, can be valuable steps on this path to personal improvement.
