New Grad Nurse Haul🩺👩🏻⚕️💉🏥
Hello everyone!
I just started my new grad nurse position last month and I wanted to get some things for myself. I dont necessarily need all of these things, but I wanted them. They are so cute and fun!
👖 Cherokee Scrub Pant: I tried them on and they feel amazing! They fit true to size and I ordered a tall size because I am 5’11”. They are the perfect length for me!
🧥Black Jacket: I think this jacket is perfect for nurses. It’s lightweight, but still keeps me warm. It runs small so I would size up. I’m glad I did!
🌸 Flower Badge Reels: THESE ARE SO CUTE. When I first opened them they looked like they had been scratched, but I learned there was a piece of film to take off of them that keeps them from getting scratched while they are on the way to you. They look brand new once you take the film off.
🖊️ Pens: These are perfect for me. I wanted the multiple colors and a finer point. I love these kinds of pens.
✂️ Foldable Scissors: I love how compact these are. I put a pair on my badge reel so I’ll never forget a pair. They are easy to fold and unfold.
🗒️ Nurse Sticky Notes: I really don’t need these, but I thought they would be fun. I plan to just keep one in my pocket in case I need to write something down really quick.
I also want to note that these would be great for nursing students too!

Getting started as a new grad nurse can be both exciting and overwhelming. Having the right tools and accessories can make a significant difference in your day-to-day tasks and comfort during shifts. Aside from the stylish Cherokee scrub pants that offer a true-to-size fit, consider investing in quality shoes for those long hours on your feet. Comfortable footwear is crucial in supporting your back and reducing fatigue. Additionally, a versatile and smart-looking jacket can keep you warm during chilly hospital shifts while also being durable enough for daily wear. It’s smart to choose items that are easy to wash, keeping hygiene in mind. Don't forget about organizing your essentials! A sturdy nurse bag can help store all your supplies efficiently. Look for bags with compartments for organizing pens, scissors, and sticky notes, which can be lifesavers during busy shifts. When shopping for badge reels, opt for fun designs that reflect your personality. They can add a cheerful touch to your uniform and are a great conversation starter with patients. Explore online platforms like Amazon for nursing essentials; they often have user reviews that provide insight into the best products based on actual experiences. Investing in quality supplies early on can set you up for success and make your transition into the nursing world smoother, making tasks easier and sometimes even more enjoyable!
