Where to stay - Banyan Tree Lang co

✨Brand: Stayed at the Banyan Tree Lang co for our first night in Da Nang and it was one of the best experiences we've ever had at such a resort. It was a free night redeemed from Amex platinum and tldr experiencing once would be enough.

👍Why I like it: It was a birthday trip for my my husband and they prepared a whole cake for us and some simple deco, they wanted to ch gave me for additional flowers arrangement but I said no. (tbh tasted dry but it's the thought that counts?)

The biggest plus point is their complementary water sports activities which requires pre booking of which we chose Archery, Kayak, SUP and coconut boat. We enjoyed each for 20 minutes but did not feel rushed. Just a taster is enough with our packed itinerary. They also have free boat ride from reception to water sports centre which was enjoyable.

We arrived at the hotel with there free shuttle which is very helpful as it is very inaccessible (Grab would've cost SGD40 ish) at 7pm and after checking in we took the buggy directly to the spa for our 8pm appointment. Booking early also gave us a 30% discount and it was very luxurious very relaxing (less pressure than thai massages).

Then we went for dinner at Water Court restaurant and ordered the Bun Bo Hue which has beef blood and was given free appetisers and a juice. It was pricey for Vietnam but still delicious and the lanterns at night were so beautiful.

Breakfast was a sumptuous buffet but unfortunately not catered to my taste buds necessarily as they had alot of central Vietnam cuisine. But there were also western options like egg station and crepe was really good.

We checked out at 1230pm after spending some time at our private pool in the villa. Loved the little details that made our trip lux like cold towels everywhere we went and the lemongrass oil that burns on a candle in our room.

Banyan Tree Lang Co offers more than just luxurious accommodations; it immerses you in authentic local culture and unique recreational activities. One of the highlights of staying at Banyan Tree Lang Co is the exceptional range of complementary water sports, which must be booked in advance. These include archery, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and coconut boat rides. Each activity offers a relaxed 20-minute session, allowing guests to enjoy fun without feeling rushed—a perfect balance for travelers with packed schedules. The resort’s location is somewhat remote, making their free shuttle service especially valuable to guests. Without this, transportation via Grab can be quite costly. Once at the resort, the free buggy and boat rides offer a seamless and pleasurable way to explore the area, adding to the overall stress-free experience. For relaxation, the Banyan Tree spa offers luxurious treatments, far gentler than traditional Thai massages, perfect for those seeking serenity. Booking in advance can secure discounts, which is a smart tip for future visitors. Dining at the resort’s Water Court restaurant presents an opportunity to taste authentic Central Vietnamese dishes, including Bun Bo Hue, a spicy beef noodle soup with distinct ingredients like beef blood. While the prices can be higher than typical local eateries, the quality, ambiance, and complimentary appetizers justify the cost. Breakfast buffets showcase a blend of local and Western cuisines, providing options for different tastes, such as an egg station and crepes, although the predominant flavors lean toward Central Vietnam’s culinary traditions. The attention to detail throughout the resort—from cold towels handed throughout the property to the calming scent of lemongrass oil in rooms—creates a memorable and indulgent atmosphere. Overall, Banyan Tree Lang Co is ideal for travelers looking for a special and tranquil stay that combines cultural immersion, luxury, and thoughtful amenities. For anyone considering Da Nang, allotting at least one night here is a worthwhile experience that balances relaxation with adventure.
