What My 11 Month Old Eats in a Day
What my 11 month old ate today 🫶🏻
I usually offer her 6oz of formula with every bottle, but lately she hasn’t been finishing them. I think she’s slowly starting to wean herself and getting fuller from actual meals/snacks instead. 🤍
I also offer water with every meal! She’s gotten so much better with eating, although let’s be real… a good portion still ends up on the floor or stuck to the high chair 😂

Feeding an 11-month-old is truly an adventure that involves patience and flexibility. From my experience, babies at this stage often begin to eat less formula as they transition to more solid foods, which is a natural part of weaning. It’s important to keep offering a variety of foods to help develop their taste preferences and provide balanced nutrition. I’ve noticed that offering water during meals encourages better hydration habits early on, and it complements the solid foods well. Mealtime can be messy, with food ending up on the floor or stuck to the high chair, but it’s all part of the learning process as they improve their motor skills and independence. In terms of food choices, starting the day with protein-rich eggs combined with cheese and peanut butter toast provides energy and essential nutrients. Lunch with pizza, mixed vegetables, and mashed potatoes offers a good balance of carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Snacks like Beech-Nut Jammin’ waffles and Gerber puffs are convenient and liked by many toddlers, supporting their energy needs between meals. For dinner, including sausage and veggies introduces different textures and flavors, essential for sensory development. It’s also important to observe how much formula your child drinks throughout the day and adjust according to their fullness and interest in food. Remember, every child is different. Watching their cues for hunger and fullness helps to avoid forcing food and makes mealtime a positive experience. Sharing meals together when possible encourages social eating habits and makes the transition smoother. This balance of formula, solids, and hydration ensures a healthy growth pattern for your little one during this exciting stage.
