📍Location:Bistro Taino

Context & thoughts: The staff were all very friendly and kind. They really bring a piece of Puerto Rico right to Jersey with the ambiance. The food was also very flavorful and fresh.

Overall rating: 5/5

Dishes I Ordered:

Appetizers- Not in included in the pictures because they were gone by the time they were brought out but we had: Bacalitos which was really good, not overly salted and not oily at all either. We had also gotten some Sorullitos de Maiz which are like little corn fritters and it was really good.

Bifongo with Churrasco- Bifongo is like a mofongo the only difference is that it’s made with both green and sweet plantain. The flavor was incredible, with the pairing of the skirt steak- Churrasco and the Bifongo. You would get a little bit of that sweetness from the sweet plantain and the perfectly cooked meat along with the chimichurri sauce it came with.

Drinks: I got a passion fruit lemonade which was really nice. It wasn’t too bitter nor too sweet it was just perfect. We also got a mango lemonade which was also really nice. It tasted like they got fresh mangos and muddled it to add to the lemonade.
